The LWF Uganda Program is looking for a qualified and experienced person to fill the following position:
Job Title: NFI Distribution Assistant-Project Assistant.
No. of Positions: One (1)
Place of Assignment: Lamwo District.
Reports To: Protection Coordinator
Starting date: ASAP
Duration of Contract: 11months contract (with possibility for extension).
The closing date for applications: 28<sup>th</sup>, January 2025.
Job Summary: Under the guidance of the Community Service, the Distribution Assistant is responsible for the CRIS release from warehouse for distribution to POCs, do stock reconciliation after each distribution and distribute NFI in compliance with LWF NFI standards and established guidelines.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
Work hand in hand with project officer/partners to initiate the planning of distribution.
Request of relief items for giving population (POCs).
Inspect and check the right quantity of items reach in field.
Supervise the distribution team.
Ensure distribution material are in place.
Ensure stock reconciliation is done after the distribution.
Support data entry for items distributed.
Ensure that all CRIS items are fully accounted for through maintaining a proper and fully signed distribution list.
Mobilize and sensitize the community members on distribution plan and entitlements.
Liaise with community structures to ensure every beneficiary is served.
Receive and records complaints raised by beneficiaries during the distribution process.
Organize and maintain the all the distribution points that needs cleanness/maintenance.
Ensure casual Laborers have fully signed engagement contract before any field activities.
Ensures that all soft copy of items distributed is generated properly filed and with a backup and hard copies are well filed for easy future reference.
Prepare and submit TIMELY distribution report to concerned department.
ANY other duties that may be assigned by the lined supervisor.
Education, Qualifications & Experience Required
Degree in Bachelor of Business Administration, Economics, Statistic, supplies management, Store Management and any other related Field.
Excellent computer skills (MS Word, Excel and other store related software.
Ability to work under pressure.
Knowledge of proper recordkeeping and inventory management.
Analytical mind with ability to make accurate mathematical computations.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Competencies in data entry, analysis, and management.
Keen attention to detail and ability to effectively manage time.
Ability to safely and legally operate a forklift.
Skills to operate common office equipment.
2+ years of experience in distribution, inventory control, or recordkeeping.
Special Skills.
Aptitude or Personality Requirements.
Problem Solving and Decision-Making skills.
Ability to inspire and build capacity of national staff.
Good interpersonal skills and excellent negotiation skills.
Excellent English Language (both written and spoken).
Information Technology (MS Office, Internet);
Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
Good team worker with good communication skills.
